Default Calorie Requirement?

OK, so I calculated my calories for weight loss per the manual, and it seems LOW for all the ativity I do...then I did the Harris Benedice Eqution, and the number was totally different...one says 1320 and the other close to 1800 or 1900...which to go with?

use fitday.com to figure out what you used to eat.

then look at your goals.

then decide based on what you used to eat how you need to change that (up or down in calories, etc)

if you used to eat really poorly, then switching to better foods without even changing calories will be a good start

HB tends to overestimate!

Personally, I'd go somewhere in between and monitor.

I find that HB works swell for me as far as maintenance, but at the same time, I really have to pay attention and tweek my actual intake for loss, because not always the same number works based on my food intake (type) and how I'm feeling and what program I'm doing.
