Well my university held it's recreation banquet friday night and amazingly enough I was awarded a trophy for Fitness Consultant and Trainer of the Year. Having won the award via peer voting I felt it a great honor to be recognized by my amazing co-workers.
However, if it weren't for people (many of whom are active on these forums) like Mike Roberston, Eric Cressey, Bill Hartman, Alwyn Cosgrove, Dr. John Berardi, Coach Dos, Craig Ballantyne, Dan John, Jason Ferruggia, Lou Schuler, Charles Staley, Charles Poliquin, Christian Thibaudeau, Chad Waterbury, Mike Roussell, Mike Boyle, and all the the other industry professionals who have shared their wealth of knowledge and experience and inspired me like I've never been inspired in my life, I would not be where I am today.
I'd like to express my deepest gratitude to these people. Thank you. Thank you for everything.
"Focus on making the 5 lifts stronger and getting enough food. There will be plenty of time to worry about glycemic indexes, PERs, and Bulgarian Split squats later. Much later."-Mark Rippetoe
That's AWESOME!!! I completely relate to your gratitude to the pros you listed too. I feel like I owe my success to all of those guys. By reading their stuff and applying it, I look like the smartest professional in my area. I'm pretty quick to tell people that I am actually a pretty slow learner, and that I just read the right people.
Don't sell yourself short though. It isn't just the knowledge you possess, but your ability to convey what you know... That means your communication ability and your personality are also excellent. It's that magic combination, you know?
You should be very proud of yourself. As one of your peers I am certainly proud of you.

Way to go, Josh. That is quite the honour. Hearty congrats.

JP, for future reference and in the interest of marital harmony repeat after me, " I owe it all to my wife!"
Thank you everyone for the kind words and congratulations. I'd also like to thank you all for fostering a community of excellence...how does it go...you're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with? Well I count the people I converse with online as one of those people.

I count them as all of those people .. makes me feel better about myself
One thing I hate is when coaches take credit for their athlete's success. In this same case, none of us can take credit for your success - YOU put in the hard work and dedicated yourself to becoming a better coach.
Be sure to give yourself a hefty pat on the back as well
