Training while sick?
Not like cold or flu sick. I have pink eye. Aside from the obvious I should spray everything down and be super cautious about touching my eyes thing could there be any additional problems?

Is this at a public gym? IMO you should not be in a public gym with this.

Yeah its a public gym. Should I just bag it for the week then? I work out early in the morning when there aren't a lot of people there so it wouldn't be difficult for me to make sure I clean everything when I'm done with something.

Personally I wouldn't workout if I could pass something on to someone else. But that's just me.

I know you'll go stir crazy--download one of Craig Ballantyne's weight-free workouts to do at home, but if you have pink eye, you WILL give it to practically every single person who touches the equipment you've used--even if you're scrubbed it with the diluted soapy stuff they give you at the gym.

My wife had it a couple of times and we didn't get it in the house. Hit the gym and don't worry too much about it.

I also think you show stay home, in case it is infectious, so you don't infect anyone else.
do you wear contact lenses? using the same pair for too long can cause pink eyes

Please don't go to the gym with a contagious condition. Do a home bodyweight workout for a few days until it clears up.

Yeah decided to skip, figured I wouldn't appreciate it if someone else did it to me. I did catch it early on though so I should be able to get back in the gym sometime this weekend. thanks for the advice guys.

I'd stay at home too. Absenteeism may be a problem at work, but "presenteeism" is a pain in the ass when you're on the receiving end of a virus (ie., pinkeye) from someone who doesn't stay at home...
Good for you for not using it as an automatic excuse to avoid working out, though!
