Default Looking for some endurance program advice

Hello, during the summer I have a job that I need to commute to by bike. The ride takes about 1.5-2 hours at a good pace(ie: not stop and go). I havent done and riding since the fall due to life issues and I am looking to get back in shape before June so the commute doesnt kill me.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to go about improving cycling endurance over a couple months. I am not sure how much time I should be riding each week and if it should be interval type stuff or longer sessions.

How many miles is the commute? Do you have a road bike?

Hey, I was working last night so didnt get a chance to check post.

The ride is about 20 km's each way. I know not incredibly long for someone who bikes a lot probably but it absolutely kills me atleast at first.

I own a hybrid bike(I was convinced to buy it due to the road conditions in winnipeg) but if I had another chance I would buy a true road bike. Hybrid is definitly better then a moutain bike but I think it is a little too upright for long rides.
