Default calculating anaerobic threshold

Is there a way to calculate your anaerobic threshold knowing your VO2 max (predicted), max HR, cardiac output, stroke volume, a-VO2 difference?

I'm doing an assignment on predicting VO2 max, and one question reads:
Quote:
Based on your predicted VO2 max, calculate VO2 that would correspond with your anaerobic threshold.
I did a search on google and all I've found is that untrained people will have an anaerobic threshold of 50-60 percent of their VO2 max, and elite athletes might have it at 90 percent of their VO2 max.

He gave us equations for everything else we have to find, except this, and I have no way of contacting him before this is due.
Anyone know?

I think I found an equation I could use...

VE(L/min) = VT(L) x bf (breaths/minute)

VE = amount of air inspired or expired in one minute
VT = amount of air inspired or expired in one breath
bf = number of inspirations or expirations per minute

But then how do I calculate tidal volume?

I'd have to check when I get home (if I can find it) - but isn't there something about the point at which during a VO2 max test that the HR increase deviates as being at or about the anaerobic threshold -
edit: I did find the Conconi test online - that is speed vs HR - does that sound familiar as something you've covered and would be expected to use?

You could post this in the Training Forum and have an answer in seconds...probably twelve answers, actually...

I thought more people would see it here.

I just used the numbers I got from my google search, 50% of VO2max. It's not actually my anaerobic threshold, but apparently that's the number he wanted us to use.

Thanks anyway
