Hi there,

I lost about 24 pounds thru Body for Life last year (gained some back over the holidays...didn't work out and ate poorly). I am back on track again and have about 10-15 pounds to go, which seems is the hardest to lose. I've been at a plateau for a couple of weeks so I've just bought TT and am looking forward to some awesome workouts.

Question: You've said that an elliptical is not effective for doing intervals. Can you share the reasons why you believe this? Though I prefer to run, my H and I were planning on buying an elliptical for those days when we have to stay indoors. I've read only good things about ellipticals from Runner's World and other health professionals. I've also used them at a gym while on vacation and felt I got a really tough workout.

Also: Is there a special coming up on the 6-month Bodyweight guide? I hope so. I didn't buy one with my TT manual and wish I did.

Thanks,
Perdita

Hi Perdita, contact me through www.TTmembers.com about the bodyweight program.

Having worked many clients on ellipticals (b/c of knee problems) and watched many people use them in gyms, I haven't been impressed with the results.

Feel free to prove me wrong,

CB

Craig,

I appreciate your reply. I have a couple more questions:

If I only have 30 min in the morning to do my weight training in the morning but have time to do the interval training that same afternoon is there any negatives to doing it that way?

I know I can do them the next day but wondered if it was okay to do it later that same day.

Also, what does it mean to "brace" my abs? How do I know I'm doing that correctly?

Thanks,
Perdita

Like when you would brace your stomach when you were expecting to get punched in the stomach. Or maybe you didn't play those sorts of stupid games with bros and friends when you were young!
