Default Silly Question

How much does an Olympic EZ Curl Bar weigh? And how much does an Olympic Dumbell Bar weigh? I just purchased some and the shipping weight was 30lbs and seems a bit off to me.

EZ curl bars vary, usually 15-25 pounds.

RedWifey recently measured a few at our YMCA (no, I don't know why):

--EZ Curl Bar was 25 pounds
--Short Straight Bar was 29 pounds

The long bar is usually 45 pounds.

My gym has two EZ Curl bars. A long one and a short one. A random guy at the gym, wearing a 24 Hour Fitness trainer's jersey, told me that they are 35 and 25 lbs, respectively.

My gym doesn't have dumbbell handles for their plates. All dbs are fixed.

Here is the set. It was only $40. I can't afford to buy individual dumbbells right now nor a set of power blocks. I decided that I could atleast pick up these and buy a few extra 10 and 5 pound olympic plates locally to go with all the plates I currently have. I'll probably just have to do the ole stand on the scales and then stand on the scales holding each bar respectively to get the correct weights.

My gym has two also. The shorter one weighs 23lbs. I took it over to the scale and did the math with me holding the bar and me not holding the bar.
