Default Alternate to RDL

I started the Original Turbulence training this week, up from the intermediate level and Cannot do Romanian Dead Lifts as I have had lower back problems before and don't want to risk straining.

Any alternatives to this excercise?

I am to do A1 RDL and then A2 Chest press, B1 Reverse Lunge and then B2 Single Arm Standing SHoulder press

So any alternative to RDL would be great.

thanks

Ideally, you would just use very light weight and take it easy. Maybe just the bar to start with. Maintain good form and that should put the majority of the emphasis on your hamstrings and not your lower back. RDL's are a great exercise and if you can do them properly, you should try and keep them in.

If there's no way you even want to try, try step ups or fwd lunges. Maybe just switch to a leg curl of some sort, either on a swiss ball or with a leg curl machine.

You could do 1 legged RDLs. That would lower the weight quite a bit, as you are now balancing and only using one leg at a time. Use a db in each hand.
