Default Just ordered some jump stretch bands!!!

I just ordered these jump stretch bands

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-JUMP-STRETCH-R...QQcmdZViewItem

My main use for them is going to be to increase the load on db bench press because my 50's are easy now and I don't want to spend a load on 60's and so on. I also plan on using them to make dips and push-ups harder and plenty of other exercises from stretching to ones I make up.

Anyone want to share their band training memories?

I once dropped 225lbs on the ground from about 2 feet up trying to setup a reverse band deadlift... dont do that! hah.

Bands can be a great tool if used right, dont overdue it with them though, since the load is dynamic, they can wear you out quicker then constant weight I find.

I use them every once in a while for fun on the bench, and I'll do modified pull throughs with them. Also, some stuff for my shoulder with them.

So I've had these for a couple months and they are a great tool. I have mainly used them to add resistance to my dumbells and for assisted pull-ups when training my girlfriend. They are also great for stretching and I haven't even scratched the surface of what I am going to use these for.

I just used them for something new. I went out to train on the heavy bag and jump rope. I put one of the bands around the bag and the other end around myself. Started punching away and the bands gave the bag a life of its own. Every time you punch the band brings the bag back at you so you are forced to keep punching or the bag will punch back. Varied which band I was using and it was a great session. I highly recommend this if you have access to a heavy bag and some bands.

Oh yeah and I highly recommend the bands to anyone with some creativity.

Dave Schmitz has a lot of interesting band training articles on his website. Anyone who wants to find a few more interesting ways to use bands would enjoy these articles.
