The JP Fitness retreat is close, so it is time to book your flights to get the good rates, and book your hotel reservations. It will start with the usual "meet and greet" on March 26th. Try to arrive at the hotel before 6pm so we can all assemble before going out to dinner. On Saturday the 27th we will start out with a big group breakfast and go over to the gym for an all-day retreat. We will go our for lunch, of course, then that evening we will all go out to eat. Sunday morning will be time to go home and we will have another wonderful event to fondly remember. There will be one minor change this year. As many of you already know, this year I wanted to spice things up a bit by flying in a renowned fitness expert speaker/presenter: Bill Hartman. To pay for his plane ticket and hotel and hopefully have a little left over as a fee to pay for his time, I am charging a small fee this year of $99 per participant. I know that we didn’t do a fee last year, but to improve this event and afford a speaker it is necessary. I hope this does not become a dis-incentive for participation this year. If it is any consolation, there is a fare-war going on right now with the airlines, so you can probably make that up by getting a really inexpensive ticket. Also, as we did last year, I have negotiated a very low room rate with the Radisson Hotel, which is right across the street from my facility. It is $59 per room, and if you are really on a budget, you can room with someone and split that cost. All you have to do to book your hotel is call the Radisson’s 800 number (800-333-3333) and mention that you are attending the “JP Fitness” event in Little Rock. When they have the event pulled up, tell them whether you want to pair up with someone or not. If you do, they will actually make a half reservation for you.
Here are some of the topics Bill will be covering:
· How to become a high-performance athlete or just look like one
· Dynamic Flexibility
· Bodyweight exercises for strength and power
· Metabolic Training Circuits
· Power versions of Oly lifts
· rehab/prehab concepts for shoulders and knees
· Strength/Functional Hypertrophy Training
Josh Davis, CSCS and nutritionist will also present on proper nutrition as he did last year, with some new ideas to make your healthy eating habits stick. For those who want a custom diet set up for them, after you register I will send you a medical history questionnaire, which you will need to fill out and return quickly so he can have enough time to work on them before you get here.
Dale Swesy may pop his head in to demonstrate some of his old-school torture (just to keep the young’uns in line).
You can count on tons of hands on training, and plenty of time for Q&A. And just for kicks there will be a NEW game.
Needless to say, we will also hit the town and show all who attend why the South has such a reputation for its hospitality.
I, Jean-Paul, will be your humble host, here to make sure that everyone has the best time of their lives!
In this thread I will answer questions and update the roster of those who have committed to attending. There will be a limit of 25 attendees. We really need to keep the number close to this to maintain quality, so if you want to attend, you better book soon!
Email me at info@jpfitness.com to let me know if you are attending. To register go www.jpfitness.com and you will see a link on the home page that says "2004 Men's Retreat". Click on that link. You can pay with MC, VISA, or AMEX. You can also send your check to my fitness center if you don't want to use the shopping cart:

JP,
It might be helpful if we could get this guy to the retreat. I'm sure now that bond007 is signed up, it would be a requirement.
Bio: The Plant Dr. - SATURDAY 9am to 1pm
On Saturday mornings, the grass seems a little greener, when Dr. Noel Falk hits the airwaves. Each week the discussion focuses around everything from plants and weeds to birds and recipes. Click to e-mail Dr. Noel Falk.
Little Rock National Airport (LIT is the airport code). The airport is about 10-15 minutes from the Radisson in downtown Little Rock. I believe the hotel also offers an airport shuttle service.

Mines doing good thanks to acupunture and some other chinese medicine.First they like heated up my shoulder. Then put like 10 needles into my shoulder and used electricity.Lastly used this strong smelling chinese medicine patch. Now I can actually do pushups and hopefully return back to full strength before lacrosse starts.
My shoulder is actually coming along very nicely. I'm back in the gym lifting VERY light weights and I'm seeing (and feeling) improvements almost daily. Pain is almost non-existant now. I'm still having VERY minor limits on my ROM, but that'll still come in time.
Thanks for asking, bro!

Silas -
have you looked into plane fares from NYC yet? I started looking and it looks like it starts at around $400 (with a stopover!)!!.
I assume you're flying. I was thinking of making a roadtrip out there, if it's something you're interested in we could probably make the trip (split costs) for like $75 each or something (guesstimate). Just a thought.
Let me know if that sounds interesting...

Yes has anyone heard from will on whether or not he is planning on attending? It would be great to have someone to ride with. Does he even check this forum out any?
