Default ABBH - Hanging Pikes

Hanging pikes - I can do one with a 25lbs dumbell between my feet. That yields, 15, 16.5, 17.25 as my 60%, 65%, 70% progression. I don't have any weights with increments that small. Should I drop the initial weight so that I get a more solid progression, e.g. 5, 10, 15?

No hanging pikes in the ABBH from the book; it prescribes Reverse Crunches instead.
