Default Best Sources for Serious Exercises

Dragon Door and Pavel for not only crazy Kettlebell stuff but a wide range of other things including yoga
Bodybuilding.com's list(full page layout for each exercise)
Crossfit's exercise page
Ross http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/ for things along the lines of bodyweight exercises and ways of homemaking and doing it yourself
Rooney and Parisi http://www.performbetter.com/SearchR...tegoryID_E_425

There's a lot more good sources that I'm just not thinking of right now. I'm sure you guys have you favorite sources here. What am I missing?

And I would throw Zach Even-Esh in there with www.undergroundstrengthcoach.c om with all the innovation they got going on, sled bear crawls and sled crab walks etc. And I have to give Bud Jeffries credit for Twisted Conditioning1&2 which makes me think of the Diesel Crew as well.

Simply put, who are your favorite guys for exercises. Maybe they're just guys that go over the old school stuff really well like Coach Dan John, I don't know. whatever

this was actually linked to from another site as a source for crazy pushup variations http://forum.dragondoor.com/tr aining/message/440475/

it's some of the variations Maxwell puts himself through, maybe some Sonnon influences or maybe he got them from Yoga and Martial Arts instructors

Greetings, Dean!

I'm familiar with those, but they just sit on my machine as bookmarks. I always appreciate a reminder of them to go check them out for some new variations on training. Thanks for the reminder. I have no others to offer right now.

So, do tell a bit more about what you are into with training (and competition?).

I'm not particularly into kettlebells, but I've learned a lot about how simple we can make things from Mike Mahler's stuff. He's all over the place, but bodybuilding.com has a lot of stuff by Mike.

Mike Mahler

My favorites are:

high repetition kettlebell clean and jerk

high repetition kettlebell snatches

roadwork: the kettlebell way

I do them all with dbs, since I have no kettlebells...

yeah, yeah, good stuff from Mahler always, glad you brought him up

on the kettlebell/dumbbell thing, it's been my experience that using different implements in the same workout for the same exercise gets a serious reaction from your muscles, if you're seesaw oh pressing a 75lb dumbbell in one hand and an 80lb kettlebell in the other a 5x5 scheme would leave you unbalanced, but Pavel does give more rep schemes in 'Beyond Bodybuilding', you can go 4 sets of 6 reps if you're stuck on bodybuilding or you can do 5-10 sets of 5 reps if you love Mother Russia, in this case 6 sets of 5 would do the trick, I love unilateral work and mixed weights/implements

Would anyone say the Parisi DVD package is worth the dough (300plus)? They don't come cheap though and I'm having lots of high hopes that there's not gonna be lots of crossovers with others like MM, I/O and Mike Boyle's stuff.

Any advice would be great.
