I just glanced over the threads and i never seen anything on TSP.
I bought the book a few days ago from t-nation and i'm anxiously waiting for it. I doubt i'll be following any of the progressions in the book because i've already completed 5 or 6 Waterbury programs.
However, being maximal strength is one of my main goals i've VERY interested in TSP.
Anyone using it? How is it?
I haven't read it yet obviously but will probably be using it for my Deadlift, which i want to hit 500lbs this year so i can wear my "500 pound Deadlift Club" t-shirt.
Can pull in the mid 400's has of now but i never done alot of specific maximal training work in the past.

It'll probably be another month or two before you hear much talk about TSP. The reason?
TSP is a program that no one has performed before. Since the program is 12 weeks, and since the book has only been available for 7 weeks, it'll take more time for people to buy the book, try the program, and give feedback.
Rest assured, it's one of the most powerful maximal strength programs that's ever been designed for advanced lifters. (Lou discusses his results with TSP in the foreword).

Sounds cool Chad, maximal strength is my number 1 goal this year.
What would you consider an advanced lifter? I've been lifting on and off since i was 12 and have been back in the game now for close to 2 years solid, i'm 28. You probably outline it in the book.
I hope to get it this week, biotest while expensive to canada - shipping - usually arrives fast.
I am doing alot of the other programs before I jump into TSP. I am thinking TSP will probably come in around October for me.
Looking over Chad's work again on t-nation i never done a good many of his programs so i might use one of the progressions he prescribes in the book but i will be running TSP before i decide on that.

Chad TSP for the deadlift, are you prescrbing partial good mornings or full ROM? In phase 1?
The reason for the confusion is because you have a pic of the partial good morning on the following page.
Also, i haven't got the equipment to do the first group of excercises - "A" - so i will be doing the partial dead in straights and supersetting the other 2. Note: Day 1
How would you adjust the RI's?
btw is there any issues with me keeping an online workout log for TSP?
I'm suppose to do Day 3 today but i believe i will give myself another day's rest. My hamstrings and abs are very sore from speed day, along with my still sore traps from the supramaximal deadlifts. Most DOMS, by far, i've ever gotten in my traps.
I plan on taking the full 2 days rest after the platform deads and then start following the rest days has is. Hopefully, my body will have made some adaptations by then and the DOMS subsides.
Just to add, i usually trained though DOMS in the past but its pretty bad this time and my main goal is strength.

You think its a good idea Chad?
In the future, train through the soreness. If you do, you'll be handsomely rewarded with super-charged recovery. Trust me on that one.
I can't tell you how many people have told me they don't incur any soreness since forcing themselves to train through the soreness for the first few weeks.
