This may be a dumb question, but I was wondering:I missed a couple of days of workouts -should I try to make up these exercises on top doing what I'm supposed to do for the day, or just forget it and get back on track?

Agreed. Trying to "catch up" would only lead to overtraining, excess fatigue, and subsequent lack of motivation. Just use it as inspiration to work that much harder on what training you will be doing.
