JD:
How many different positions are you looking for? 180°...45°...90°? or just 180° and 45°?
(180° = Flat --- 45° = Std. Incline)

jd, I got the plans going for the bench. What I realized as I designed it is that I can add a hell of squat rack, or a power rack to the backside pretty easily. I'm almost tempted to take my squat rack now and convert it!
I'll get them posted soon, hopefully tomorrow if I stop into work to get a few things done.
BTW - The incline will be fully adjustable, too. Not just 45 & 90.

The bench plans are just about finished, I'll post them ASAP. These are pretty intricate, so I'mm adding a few different views of the bench to show how everything fits together.
They'll be up the next day or 2.

As usual, I had a crazier week than I thought!
Here's the bench. It's a wild design, but it'll hold a tank.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
You'll have to bend the flat stock to create the tops so they will cradle the bar. Also, the steel rod will be bent at 90 degrees on one end to use as the main pin for the dajustable section of the bench.
Pads....I am fortunate to work for a foam packaging company, so foam is easy to come by for the pads. Look at Home Depot or similar type of store for Extruded Polyethylene, in a 2" thickness. You can cut it with a knife, but most densities are stiff enough to hold up to the weight demands. Just glue it to a piece of plywood, and wrap the entire unit with vinyl and staple the bottom.
This design can also utilize the uprights from the squat rack I designed. You would just bench on one side, and squat from the backside.
Let me know if anyone has questions. Like I said, I'm busy as hell lately, but trying to get here daily just to read a few posts.

Guess who made the weight tree...
Instead of using galvanized pipes to hold up the weights, I decided on PVC.

I also made an agility ladder (pictured in the back) and agility hurdles.

Keith, that weight tree is nice! I'm surprised the PVC can hold multiple 35 and 45# plates, though!
