Default Stretching recommendations

I am curious as to why each stretch is only performed once. Is it because the routine is recommended for after weights and just to return the muscles to the resting length?

If trying to increase the resting length is that where 3-4 times each stretch is recommended?

You're right, the plan is merely intended to restore your muscle length. However, many people should perform the entire cycle 2-3 times in order to improve their ROM.

The idea was to have a total body stretching routine in place so that people could look at the pictures and determine if their ROM is less than optimal. Then, they'd focus on those drills.
