Default Just met Brian Schwab

Man, the guy is like 5'5" and makes an XL shirt look tight. Went to check out his gym, might join this summer and try to join his PL lifting team, the knowledge would be priceless. Place is small with a crazy atmosphere. For those who dont know, the guy isthe #1 ranked PL at 148 and the world record holder for bench at that weight.

they say you're a combination of who you surround yourself with. sounds like you've got a great chance to surround yourself with some cool folk.

Club is about a 20 min drive. Since my universities gym is free, untill my finantial situation looks up Im stuck listening to go go music and hearing retards screaming during single joint exercises. A summer of training there would be great though.

Cool, perhaps you could talk to him about your financial situation and sort out a short term thing so you could still train there now, and pay back more when you can. You never know!

Just in case you haven't looked at it from this angle...

If you're hoping to make fitness\training a career (don't remember if you are or not), you're not paying to go work out. You're paying to go be around people smarter than you are to learn "real world" stuff that you're not going to get at school. These people do it for a living every single day. The fact that you're aloud to work out is a bonus. You're paying to be there. At the end of the day the knowledge you pick up will help you for the rest of your life and put you ahead of everyone else that graduates with you.

Globba, that is exactly why I want to be there, that and compete. I want to get the broadest range of training/knowledge I can so when I do start training others I will not be a novice in the field, whether its PL, OL, BB, sports etc. I will most likely be spending the summer there while I study for my CPT. Currently trying to ge a job as an attentdant for next symmester at my schools gym, and start trianing others there in the fall to help me pay for schoolin. What I can learn from Brian is something I could never learn in a book.
