Default found a powerlifting gym

I went to a private powerlifting gym yesterday. It was quite cool. It was a 50 year old gym in an old garage, and all the guys lifted together. There were several guys squatting over 500, first time I've ever seen anything like that.

So I think I found my new sport, at least until my first meet. Then we'll see after that.

I wish i could find a gym like that, something a bit more hardcore than my current fitness center.

Good for you. Eric Cressey talks a lot about how much difference the lifting environment makes. You'll love it.

We built our own garage gym this year and I freaking love it!

Here are a few pics

We are actually moving to a bigger location tomorrow so that we can get some more equipment!

This sounds very similiar to Dave Tate's 'The Education of a Powerlifter'. Nice.

I never realized how different these guys train. Its entirely different than what I'm used to. I can't wait to really push it and see what I can do.
