Default Great News. The Beggining of a New.

My mom finnally took apon herself to get back into shape. She has been going to a weight loss coach for 10 weeks now and I cannot wait to go home and meet him in person just to thank him. I got my weekly weigh in call from her this morning and she is down 2 more lbs. That makes 17 lbs in 10 weeks! Ive never seen her so motivated. She calls me every weigh in, every workout. She recently broke her foot 2 weeks ago, and since then, has been to the gym more often than before, and still lost 4 lbs! She has a palm pilot where she enters in everything she eats and is on a portion control diet while learning how to choose when and what kind of carbs to eat. She even e mails me all of her new recipes which are great, she even brought samples in to her coach and he is going to post them on his website. I could never be more proud of her and tell her everyday. When I come home I am going to try to get her to sign up and become a new member to this board. Sorry, I am just really happy and proud and had to boast!

That's great news, Steve. In my opinion, enthusiasm is a huge key to getting results from training. It's good to see that she's excited about being more healthy.

Great news. I'm sure she loves having something to share with you that you love too. It makes such a difference to have someone who's as excited about nutrition and exercise as you are. That's why we all come here. She has you, and being her son makes it even better motivation.

As a mom I know how much it must mean to her. My son comes home and reports his training to me. I love that we have lifting to talk about and that he respects my opinion about his training. It keeps us close.

That's awesome! Your mother deserves a pat on the back for her (obviously) hard work. Shake her coach's hand!

I hope everything works out well for her Steve. I'd like to get my mom on to a proper workout, but I don't know if she'd be interested in lifting weights.
