So I started to do Workout #1 on the Body By Fish website. Basically a bodyweight routine if your not framiliar.
I knew I was in trouble from the start....
Exercise 1. Pyramid up to 12 and back down, push-ups. Basically he wants you to do 1, rest 30 secs, do 2 rest 30 secs up to 12 and back down again.
So I made it up to 8 before I failed. I made it back down the pyramid. I failed on a few of the reps. But in the end pushed out a total of 61 push-ups. Not great, but considering I couldn't do a single one a couple years ago, I'll take it.
Next up he has you doing a single set of diamond pushups to failure. after that pyramid. None. I could lower myself down sorta slowly, but back up? Not even close. Done.
He then has you do Pull-ups. Regular, close grip and wide grip. Pyramiding from 1 to 2 to 1 on each of them. I did most of these as negatives.
Then after that 4 sets of 8-10 dips. I did them off my bench, 10, 10, 7, 4 hahahha Ok so maybe I shoulda just done sets of 8.
Thats all the upper body stuff.
Next we move on to lower body.
Hindu squats 4x25. I made all of them. YAY! (Yes I was in pain and the last few of most of the sets was pretty slow)
Then Boot strappers 4x25. I made 2x11 before I could barely move.
Then Lunges 4x20. Yeah I still can't move, my legs still hurt and I didn't even attempt these due to time, pain and the wish to move today.
Then there is a bunch of ab stuff I didn't even try, mostly due to time.
So today. My chest and upper body is ok. My quads are F'ing KILLING me. Walking sucks. We won't evben talk about stairs.

Yeah since my initial attitude was. Pyramid up to 12? Bah how hard can that be? I can do sets of 10. Hhahahah. Idiot.

Yep that is the one. Sorry Fish, you of all people I thought would know about Body by Fish.
Now my back is a little stiff as well as my triceps.
I think I can safely say I got a plenty good workout without any weights.

i tried workout #1 last night
and damn im sore today, i cry when i see stairs at the moment
Pushups, i made it up the pyramid, just and had to come down on my knees most of the way
Tricep pushups, i squeezed out 10 on my knees
Pullups were pretty good, struggled on the last 2 sets
Dips, which i usually feel confident doing was a struggle, sets of 8,6,4,4
Hindu Squats were hard especially the last set
but i got through them just
Bootstrappers, i wanted to cry at about this point
and only did 4 sets of 12
and then to attempt 4 sets of 20 Lunges my legs were about to explode (managed 4x16)
the abs section was a real struggle and i fumbled my way through, probably not with the greatest of form
anyway, it was good fun and i look forward to trying again wednesday night (if i can walk by then)

Just a quick question about Fish's bodyweight routine... is it aimed at increasing strength endurance through bodyweight exercises only?

Body by Fish
Just an FYI, I tried to purchase scrapper's product 1 year ago and he hasn't sent it. I kept calling and emailing but no such luck. I'm out 100 bucks but try to keep your money in your pocket.
I like his workouts (from his website) but he is a scammer.

Chicago,
I'm sorry you think I'm a scammer. I've spent many years trying to build a solid reputation and offer great training products. Not to come across as rude, but 1) Do you think I'd still be in business if I really was a scammer? and 2) Do you honestly think I'd ruin my reputation for $100?
To be honest, if this happened a year ago, there was some pretty heavy crap going on in my life and I did lose track of a few orders. However, I did resolve every single one according to the payment/shipping records from that period.
When did you purchase the Mod. 1 and when did you speak with me about your order? Send me an email: scrapperathletics@gmail.com and I'll forward you my number to resolve this.
I apologize for you not receiving your order, but I'll take care of this ASAP.
Train hard,
SCRAPPER
P.S. I'm glad the rest of you guys like the workouts I've posted over the years! They certainly don't look TOO hard...until you can't get off the toilet the next day. hahaha! Keep up the hard work!

"Just a quick question about Fish's bodyweight routine... is it aimed at increasing strength endurance through bodyweight exercises only?"
Most of the routines are geared towards bodyweight only. I did that for those folks that either don't have any training equipment of their own, or they don't have a gym facility to train at.
That being said, there are still plenty of routines implementing Clubbells, Kettlebells, Sandbags, and all kinds of other crazy stuff.
Here's my original site: http://www.trainforstrength.co m
And the site for my gym: http://www.scrapperathletics.c om
And the site for my blog: http://www.scrapperathletics.b logspot.com
Train hard guys and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks to who ever reserected this thread, I had forgotten about this workout and the timing was perfect to try it again during my de-load week.
Having read my previous post its good to see I have progressed a heap since then. I smashed this workout last night (especially upperbody)
the Hindu Squats still hurt like hell and the bootstrappers were very tough
but I got through it and could still walk (the stairs werent fun though)
Good Fun..

Wow Scrapper, never thought I'd see you on JP Fitness Forums. I am happy though that you stated your side of the story. Better you give the explanation than me from what I know. Horse's head rather than the horse's arse.
But I will second the facts of hard times for Scrapper in the last couple years or so. He has been absent from the local scene for quite some time.
He has arose with a more fun baby, Scrapper's Athletics in Kalihi. cheehoo. I don't get out to Honolulu much anymore, but I can't wait to help test out the Avacore with my fellow FF brothers on Friday. It should be the most interesting 10 minutes or so of my current existence to date. hahaha.
uh, for a lil history lesson- Scrapper's Workout #1 and #2 have been around online since the 20th Century. Very good start-up workouts. Very good to practice the whole scale & progress method of working out.
