Thank you! (JP's 10K post)
This is my 10,000th post (sorta).
In 10,000 posts, you pretty much say everything you have to say to the community to which you belong. You all know me well. Hell, you've had 10K posts of back log to learn everything there is to know about me.
You've all been a huge part of my life. Although this is technically "my" forum, I think the reason it has done so well is because it you all take ownership in this place... In my mind, it is YOUR forum, and I am just the lucky guy who gets to play host.
You've been witness to my own growth in this industry, and contributed greatly to my success. You have endured the growing pains of this forum, and the transformation to our new format. You've attended my events or purchased products that have supported this place.
You were all excited with me and supportive when I learned my wife was pregnant with number 3 and subsequently when I got to deliver my boy (what an experience!). We've all watched our children grow up in the Kid Pics thread, and we've stood by our friends when they faced the death of loved ones.
You all know about my strengths and my weaknesses. You've read about my highpoints and my failures; my successful speeches or my most embarrassing moments or in the depths of depression. I've certainly had no shortage of stumbling, but I can always turn to all of you when I do, and it's like someone presses a reset button on me.
You've read my rants when my bike was stolen, or when some politician did something I disagreed with. You know I don't hold back from expressing my opinions! I may have even disagreed with some of you at some point, but we still respect one another at the end of the day.
You've seen me gain weight and you've seen me lose weight, always supportive and probably way too complimentary. You've propped me up when my injuries bogged me down.
It's sort of strange to realize just how many friends I have in here, and how spread out across the world our tight little community is. Whether you are an enthusiast or an expert, you've all given so much to this place and made it great.
I even appreciate the loyal lurkers who hide out there but read this forum every day. We have more than you may realize. I get tons of email from thankful individuals who have benefited from this forum but are too shy to participate. I hope that those of you reading this forum decide to eventually jump into the ongoing discussion. We want to hear from you!
There is no way I could name all the people who have made an impact in my life, there are so many of you. You may have helped me when you shared something in here and not even known how much I (or others) were uplifted. Birth and death, love and loss, failure and triumph... This place really has it all!
So this thank you is to all of you... If you are reading this, you are part of the reason this is such a special place.

You've done the hardest part, maintaining and improving this great little meeting ground.
I've met some amazing people on here, both fitness-wise and as friends.
Thanks JP.

Your friendship is more than thanks enough and it is we who should be thanking you for forum, friendship, and the sense of family that we all feel.

You are too humble and make it too easy to take you for granted - YOU made this oasis on the internet. YOU ensure big brains are comfortable to post here with the hoi paloi. You enforce the courtesy and ettiquette and YOU set the fun but educational tone.
A profound THANK YOU!!!

JP - I can't thank you enough for giving me and all of us a virtual home. I think these lyrics from a well known sitcom say it best.
Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.
You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.
"NORM!" ..... Uh, I mean "JP!"

I still can't believe I have 10,000 friggin' posts! Either I have really accomplished something, or I really need a life! (Don't ask my wife which one she thinks).

Some people haven't exactly waited for me to come up with one of those.
