I love it too. I think I like seeing the progress pics at the very end the most. It's great to see what everyone has accomplished after all of their hard work.

TG for future reference, you'll need to precede your response with "Holla", since I said "holla if ya hear me" Just kidding. Yea that is a big part to me too, is to see the changes and how people react. The fact of the matter is, is that these people were lazy before they came on the show but they had no choice to to bust tail.

Holla!
I watch it too ... well, usually I tape it because it is normally on opposite LOST which I cannot miss ...
I love getting inspired by what these people are accomplishing ... I don't necessarily think the rate they lose is the healthiest, but maybe it's fine given how much they have to lose.
I wish they showed more of the actual workouts and less "drama" ... but that probably wouldn't sell to most of America!!

Ha...sorry...I've had over a 100 posts today dude, I'm not exactly completely here.
I agree Julie it could do with a little less "Survivor style" stuff. I liked the older seasons better.

If I were to watch it, it would be for the woman, what's-her-name.

It's great to see people so motivated on the show. It is funny how we are all at different levels of knowledge/implementation, but it still shocks us when others know/implement so little. I watch the beginning episodes each year in complete awe.

I'm glad they got rid of that crazy chick trainer. If you really think about it the premise of the show sucks. Let's get some really fat people, starve them, and make them exercise constantly. It is a recipe for crashing your metabolism. If I'm going to watch Biggest Loser I need to TVio it so I can fast forward as my leisure....some parts are just dumb (like when they let people gorge on all their favorite foods). The transformations are amazing though.

Actually, I think she was better than the girl they have now. I've watched the show for the last couple of years and even though they get these fat people, I dont see it as 'starving' them. If anything they are teaching them new ways of eating and how to train, etc. While it may not be the optimal way to go (as far as all of the cardio and lifting with less intensity, etc) you cant take away from the fact that their transformations are very good, and the overall health benefits and years that they are probably adding onto their lives is extremely positive.

You mean this one?
We're lucky enough to get her weekly radio show on 640 KFI. You can hear it on the internet or the podcast, if you really want to.
She actually gives decent info and motivation to the average Joe who listens. It's a Sunday morning show, so...
I didn't watch much of Biggest Loser, season one, but it seemed like all they showed was tons of cardio and a little bit of weight lifting. On her show, she recommends resistance training and cardio, appropriate to the level of the individual. She gets really old and sedentary callers and also people stuck with those last few pounds to lose. Her answers are typically pretty good.
She never tells people to get on the bosu ball or balance board or anything. Maybe that's why 24 Hour Fitness (Biggest Loser partner?) wanted to split from her, eh?
She is a spaz, though. With a sexy voice...

I interviewed Kim Lyons, the current trainer, for the January Issue of Oxygen magazine. I liked her, she was nice, helpful, and polite.
