Default choosing a program, please advice!

Hi! I'm a 21 year old girl. I'm not a complete beginner to the fitness life-style some months ago i was at 19% BF just by weight training three times a week in a very random way, doing HIIT cardio four times a week, and keeping a clean diet. My leanest ever was 16% a year and a half ago.

Then there was a big bada boom in my life, so to speak xD I screwed up everything and gained aroung 15 kg and not of muscle tissue... So now my main goal is fat loss.

I'm following Berardi's Precision Nutrition.

Since my schedule is really crazy, the only way I'm sure I won't miss my workouts its by training at home first thing in the morning. I have a stationary bike, a bench, a pair of dumbbell, a barbell and plates...

Berardi's the metabolism advantage looks really good, but i'm not really into the 5 reps to failure thing: i can't possibly buy a squat rack and i live in a flat - i wouldn't like my neighbours to come up at 5 am because of me throwing the iron! xD

I know everybody wants to burn the fat quickly, and i'm not different. I really have a hard time looking in the mirror (and believe me, i got problems much bigger than that - scary health problems) and would like something to be feel like my lean, strong self again as soon as possible.

Any advice would be very welcome

You can do squats and deadlifts with DBs, you'll just need to get some that are heavy enough to make the effort worthwhile.

You could try home grown muscle (link in the FAQs) . It is a one year program that you can do with limited equipment. I would just "cherry pick" and do the fat loss phases.

hope this helps.

You can check out Turbulence Training (turbulencetraining.com). Craig's got programs for bodyweight only and some that are perfect for home workouts with limited equipment.

You can contact him there, or post in the TT sub-forum, here on jpfitness.com.

I would second Roland's advice for Turbulence Training ... Craig even has a specific program just for women. If you are crunched for time, then TT is also a good fit for you because the workouts don't take all day ...

I have not heard a lot of reviews for it yet but I am reading The Metabolic Advantage and looking forward to the routines when I can fit them in.

I really like TMA. The routines look very intense, but i'm not comfortable with training to failure yet, specially now that i'm forced to work out at home in a very small room.

The nutritional/supplements plan are perfect for me though. I really like the idea of getting more fruits than starchy carbs.
