Mahler’s Monday Morning Motivator # 37 – Wayward Wisdom
Good morning, guys.
This is a rest week for me. Last week I finished Book Of Muscle – Advanced, Stage 2. Well, then I lost it over the weekend, with a big dinner out and all that damned Halloween candy that is lurking about like the spawn of Satan. Hershey’s Kisses look so innocent just lounging there in a bowl, but they are little doses of evil wrapped in pretty foil. So this morning started out at 4:30 with a 3 mile run. You know. Just to start my week of rest off right. I know I can recoup and that I cannot turn a small setback into a habit. No chance of that.
This morning I thought you might enjoy some little out of the way tidbits of wisdom. Friends send me these all the time and I wish I knew the authors because they are truly wise. Read and enjoy. My favorites? The last two, of course.
From Children:
When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
If your brother hits you, don't hit him back. They always catch the second person.
You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
From Parents:
Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.
Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts.
As we get Older:
Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.
Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
Have a Great Week.
