Ok I am taking a week off after finishing Chad's Total Body Workout - great program BTW I loved it. But now I need to find a new routing to do when the week is up.
I just got The Book of Muscle for Christmas - great book, I love that too - and wanted to do the intermediate program, but I have no money for a gym membership which I would need for some of the exercises, and that program will take me into the middle of the summer. So I decided I will do that program next winter when I know for sure I will have more money, time, and commitment (it is a six month program).
My plan is to bulk for another two or three months, and then start on a cutting cycle at the beginning of May. So that means I need a program that will run three months, or more than one that will add up to three months, whatever.
I know that there is a thread in the FAQ with a list of workouts that I could choose from, but I was hoping to hear some suggestions from experience.
A little background info if it matters:
5'11
163 +/-2lbs
12.5%bf
currently using a home gym which includes:
squat rack
chinup bar
bench - flat/incline
barbells/dumbbells
dip handles
thanks for any help, sorry for the overly long post

dawong, if you read his post he said he knows that there's a thread like this in the faq forum. he's looking for suggestions from personal exp.
matt -- i know you're not looking for that big of a commitment, but what about HGM? Maybe SDS as well? I haven't done either, just have heard very good things about the both of them.
I'm doing BOM at home now. You can substitute some exercises where you don't have the equipment, dumbell rows for cable rows etc. So far, 6 weeks in, it seems like a very good program.

Great replies guys, thanks.
zhuangshi - I looked at HGM, but it just doesn't do it for me. I've also looked at SDS, but I'm not too confident that it will work for me.
dawong - don't apologize man, no worries
OldGuy - I don't want to sign up for anything when I don't know what I'm getting, can you post an example of a weeks workout or something just so I can see what it's like? I've heard max-OT mentioned before but I've never seen what the workouts look like.
Bill - I was thinking of doing some substitutions and doing the program at home, but my next problem came with the length. The workout will run into july if I start now, but I want to start cutting before then. I was thinking of bulking for the first two stages and then cutting for the last two since those are directed towards strength and power instead of hypertrophy. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
Two other programs I was looking at are quattro dynamo and pendulum training. Does anyone have any experience doing these programs? Quattra Dynamo is four weeks, and pendulum is five weeks, so maybe I could even do both..

That's alright OldGuy, don't worry about it then. I just signed up, so we'll see what it's like.
Ben, I thought of that as well because I've heard good things, but I'd really like to focus on strength and size rather than just size.
That is the main reason I'm considering quattro dynamo and pendulum, they periodize between strength and hypertrophy.
Now I have no idea what I'm talking about, so bear with me. Would it be a good idea to do quattro dynamo and pendulum, or programs like them, focusing on strength as well as size, and then follow those up with a program geared towards making size gains like HST? Or would I get better results sticking with one program like the BOM program, and just make substitutions so that I can do it at home?
Thanks a lot guys.
