Default Foot Injury

I was doing my HIIT intervals yesterday, as I have done over and over again. I heard a crunch, and then my left foot felt like it was grabbed by a pair of vise grips. Long story short. Broken bone in my foot. Big ugly black boot to wear for at least 2 weeks. No HIIT (or even running at all ) for at least a month..Looking for alternative workouts, if anyone might have any that dont involve the feet. Appreciate any insight on this....Thanks..RR

Tabata pull-ups, push-ups on your knees, etc. A Tabata Interval is 20 secs of the exercise followed by 10 sec rest repeated 8 times. You can put a series of five exercises together to really hurt yourself.

Thanks for the replies.......Og, I didnt do anything different than I normally do. But, about 2 weeks ago, I bought a new pair of running shoes, same brand, from the same salesman, at the same store I always get mine from. Well, after the first couple of times, I had just a little discomfort in my left foot, on the left side of it. It went away and I thought it was probably my feet getting used to the new shoes. Doc seemed to think it was already fractured...so, it would seem that it was destined to happen anyway, but I still dont really understand how or why..... I may have a bone density test done....RR

When Kevin hurt his ankle, Coach Funk posted up some good ideas for bodyweight work in this thread:

Ideas for a no foot workout.
