A great article by Coach Boyle in core performance. Finally, the man whom I have admired for the last 5 years has recognized our painful calling as trainers. It is a great read and one that should help shed light on the challenging aspects of training general population clients versus athletes.
He is dead on. I worked mostly with athletes for over 15 years and just this past year I really started working with the general population. It is much more difficult for most of the reasons mentioned in the article.
Read it in Alwyns Newsletter. Great thoughts. To my mind the personal trainer's biggest hurdles are motivation and the wide variety of fitness levels they have to deal with. Trainers who work with athletes have a client that is loaded and ready to go and willing to perform. The personal trainer has a lot more baggage to deal with. Props to the personal trainers.

You summed that up really well! That's exactly how it is.
