Smile So I won my World championships...

... It's just too bad that when I arrived at the championships and looked at the competitorlist I saw that I didn't have any opponents anymore! Normally I would have had 2 opponents, one Belgian and one Ukraine. The Belgian just changed weight AND age category but apparantly none of the Ukraines got a valid visum to stay in the country so he wasn't even here. So I would have won no matter what weight I used. It's nice to be 'world champion' but now it doesn't mean anything!!

Anyway, still competed in the same category as last time, Teens 18-19y and -165lbs.

Squat:
-1x170(374lbs), Normally I would have started with 180kg, but due to nerves I didn't eat much and 170kg already felt heavy during warmup so changed opener to 170kg.
-1x180(396lbs)
-1x185(407lbs)
Not happy because I've squatted 429lbs during training last week.

Bench press:
-1x100(220lbs)
-1x105(231lbs)
-0x115(253lbs), would have been a new Belgian record (improvement of my own record ). I was pretty close though.

Deadlift:
-1x160(352lbs)
-1x172.5(379.5lbs)
-1x180(396lbs)
Could have pulled a bit more.

I had a lot of troubles with my elbowS again this time, and yes, this time both of them. Cause: the bench shirt. After my warmup a friend of mine helped me to get in the shirt again a second time. This time I put it on a bit different and it worked great. too bad the pain was already there. But at least I know how to put the shirt on in the future.
Still didn't fully maxed out on DL, at home I've got a crappy bar and I never pull more then 165kgs at home. Now I probably could have gotten 185-190kg.

oh well, still improved my belgian records for squat and total and I can brag about my title (not everyone knows it doesn't mean sh*t )

Hail to the Champ.

Change those numbers in your sig line. You have improved them a lot.

Congrats, Nick. The lack of competition is immaterial -- those are some impressive lift numbers!

Congratulations! The numbers may not be what you hoped for, but they were better than your competitors.

No it's not - it was harder to perform without opposition - you rose above it - well done mate!

Hell, if I was your opponent I wouldn't have bothered to show up either when you're putting up numbers like that.

Thx for the compliments people!

Those numbers in my sig are raw numbers so I'm gonna leave them there. That's how strong I really am!

Red, I'm not sure I would have beaten the Ukrainian guy. Those East-europeans are strong as hell. I could have easily beaten the other Belgian though
