I'm refreshing his web page daily.. no sign of ordering instructions.. any updates, Lou, etc?
aap
I sent an e-mail to him over a week ago asking if he had any copies to sell, as I have heard he does. No response back from him.
It was so hyped up, and nobody seems to have an update as to when the book will be released. I'm going back and doing NROL again. I even had the $50 in hand waiting for the past 30 days. I'm sure it will be good if it is released...
jesus h christ folks...it'll happen when it happens. I want it, you want it, bobby joe down the street wants it, everyone wants it. It's being held up by the web hosting people...it'll be availible as soon as possible...no one knows anything else...when they do "we'll be the first to know"...someone please post a sticky that the people that have the book think it's great and the rest of us are shit out of luck untill we aren't anymore, at which point we will be notified in glorious fashion.

Yes! Thank you. Earlier today I saw this thread and had written in the reply box:
Give the poor guy a break, it'll be ready when it's ready, he hasn't just forgotten about it. Making seven threads about this book isn't going to get it ready any sooner.
But I chickened out and hit 'back' instead of 'post quick reply'.
I'm sure he's flattered at how many people want this book and at how badly they want it, BUT I'm also sure he gets the point already. This can't be the only site talking about it, and with all the people he has to deal with face to face.. well it adds up. Be patient and cut the guy some slack.
apurva: this is not directed at you personally, please don't take it that way.

My instinct, ever since TAP, has been to talk up books before they're released, as long as I believed the book was worth talking up.
What I didn't count on here is the web problem. Chad has 10,000 books sitting in a warehouse, with a fulfillment system ready to rip. All he lacks is the website that will allow people to order the book.
I let my enthusiasm for the project get the best of me, without stopping to think that I should hold off on promoting the book until I had a firm idea of when it would be available.

As soon as I know, I'll post it here.
Hey Lou - on a slightly different note, didn't you have a book in the works with Cassandra Forsythe? Any word on its release?

I take it that he's gone the self-publishing route then?
That could be a major ouch if the book doesn't sell well.
Keep up the enthusiasm. It still should be a good book. If Waterbury has any personal investment in the 10,000 books sitting in a warehouse nobody is wanting more to get those books into the public than he does.

My sentiments mirror Lou's. The fact of the matter is this: everything was supposed to be in place to sell this book 2-3 weeks ago. It's been one delay after the next. I keep getting the "two to three more days" jargon.
The book will be available on my website, and on T-nation. Since T-nation is set up for everything in terms of selling and promoting my book, I'll probably rely on them for the majority of my sales. The delay with the book release has been on my website end.
My deepest apologies for this nonsense - because it is indeed nonsense. Trust me, I want the world to get their hands on this book.
Chad, would it still be possible to order it via sending money to your paypal account as we did for your special reports a year ago? ... if that means we could receive the books sooner.

Chad, Thanks for coming here and giving us an update. As you can see, we are all looking forward to your book.
Chad and Lou, there is absolutely no reason for either of you to apologize. Shit happens, it's part of life.
Lou, you did nothing wrong. You were excited about the book and wanted to share the news with us all here. The delays are not your fault, nor could you foresee them. Please don't stop sharing news with us.
Chad, as I understand it these delays are out of your hands. None of us -- that I know of -- have given out money for this book already, we haven't gone without food for the past week just to afford it, or sold our socks or our pet rat. So we don't have the right to feel ripped off or even let down just because it didn't come out the exact day we wanted it to. You're apology is appreciated, but unnecessary.
To everyone else, have some patience. It'll be available when it's available. Until then go to your local library and borrow a book. Don't forget to still buy this one though

Hey, Thanks Dad. Can you read to me before nap time today?
I didn't see your post before I started writing mine, if that means anything.

10000 books is a lot of product to sell. Especially with limited offline exposure.
I'm sure that he discussed the proper print-run size with Lou and the guys at T-mag though so he should be fine.
I'm risk-averse so I would have gone print-on-demand but then the royalties would be a lot less so it's a toss-up
He could have gone with a smaller print run. It would drop your margin but limit your exposure, wharehousing cost, etc. I was under the impression that it's not difficult to get into the brick and mortars. You just have to be willing to give up some margin to the distributor.
Let all give it our support. It's nice to have one of the good guys make it.
