Thanks for the welcome and suggestions folks! I've been a bit busy the past few weeks since the original post (too busy to check the forums, not to work out

I've picked up The Metabolism Advantage -- Berardi's fantastic --, met with a personal trainer who's got me on a program consisting of alternating full body workouts based on supersets, gotten back into running (slowly, but I'm glad to see the miles adding up), adjusted my diet based on advice in the Berardi book as well as a trip to the supermarket with my trainer which educated me on the good, the bad and the ugly of the grocery store.
Anyways, sorry for the run on sentence there, but there's been some good stuff happening. But to save the best for last, I'm down about 5 lbs since the original post and much more full of energy...
