yoga, Yoga, YOga, YOGA!!!

Seriously, though, I won't get into all the scheduling, but my girlfriend has convinced me to do yoga with her (hey, whatever it takes to get her in the gym). Is it okay (read: safe/beneficial) to do weight training following a yoga session, so an hour or so after? Thanks for any feedback.

When i don't have wrestling practice i turn on one of my mom's yoga tapes and do some of it. It seems a little weird but it really helps my breathing and flexibility. After that i go in my basement and lift- hasnt given me any problems. Try it and see how u feel.

Yoga is pretty much a giant bout of static stretching, which if you read any Bill Hartman posts you would know is evil right before exercise . Alright I wouldn't go that far, but its a pretty good idea to avoid it. The more space you can put in between, or if possible do the yoga after the better.

I play basketball after yoga, and actually havemore grace in the movements compared to standard warm-ups.

Not a bad first day, just evidence that I sit on my ass too much (very limited hamstring flexibility). I think I'll be doing a five-day training week: boxing/weights/yoga/weights/bo xing. It's about time I kicked my own butt again
