Hello all!

Happy New Year everyone. I have been reading up about Max OT and it sounds pretty cool. It says to do cardio either before or after working out (many hours apart), or ideally on non-workout days. In the warmer months, I would go for jogs outside, but I am from Ontario and in winter, it's too icy and snowy to run (also by the time I get home, it's too dark), so I was thinking of maybe buying an exercise bike. Does anyone have any suggestions about the proper type of cardio to do with this program? Is a bike a good idea? Also, should you do intervals, or just go hard for the whole time slot that you are doing the cardio?

Many thanks in advance!!

Check the site. They recommend intervals for cardio.

When I do intervals I do it on a bike.

A stationary bike is a great idea and they are not too exspensive either. IMO interval training is superior to steady rate cardio if your goal is to build/mantain muscle mass. The Max-OT program recommenss doing intervals as well.
