GHuge - Your philosophies sound just like the MAX-OT workout stuff. Looked at it? I just started this workout.

I'm just now trying to get that "Mind Muscle" connection going. Some moves it's really easy. Others...well..I did back yesterday. connecting with low back was NO PROB...but upper back was more difficult for me. I got to keep working on that.

Jimbo you need a guy like my workout partner to stand there and poke at you screaming "use this muscle", that helped me alot. Just remember slow controlled reps and think about the muscle. I think about rubber bands (I know that sounds wierd). Well what ever just some of my mental issues (lol)

I can see how having someone to point out the muscles during the work actually would actually be very beneficial.

This "mind muscle" connection stuff makes sense. Just difficult to get it right. My biggest problem is choosing a weight that really challenges the muscle but also allows me to have good form. Seems like once I get to a weight that is a challenge, my form goes to pot. It's a quandary. I guess it just takes practice.

well it's like I said above, heavy is a word not a number! You need good form but also need to work the muscle. Bad form will not do anything, except maybe hurt yourself. Like I said, leave the ego at the door, and its not always about getting 10 or 12 reps, its the last 2-3 that make ya grow! Its the last one that takes all your juice-that's the grower.
