This article reeks of greatness:

Quote:
"Too little testosterone is bad, too much is bad but the right amount is perfect," said Barbara Ehrlich of Yale University in Connecticut, who led the study.
No shit, ya say?

Quote:
"We were surprised, but it actually looks like estrogen is neuroprotective. If anything, there is less cell death in the presence of estrogen," she said.
I think this woman has too much testosterone in her head when she makes brilliant scientific extrapolations like this:

Quote:
"Next time a muscle-bound guy in a sports car cuts you off on the highway, don't get mad -- just take a deep breath and realize that it might not be his fault," Ehrlich said in a statement.
Thats great, lets absolve people of personal responsibility and blame it on the steroids.

Dumbass.

Huh. I thought that 'Roid Rage was a myth. Even when it's "reported," it's always reported to go away once the guy's off steriods and t levels return to normal.

I'll take it that they're right about T levels killing off brain cells, but if you were losing so many brain cells to turn whacky, you'd likely suffer other brain problems, soon. Like death and stuff.

It's quite a leap to say that brain cells dying might be the cause of 'roid rage. So might the sore injection points and chaffing of the monster thighs as they rub together.

This is cool, though.

Thanks, Captain Obvious!

By the way, my son just completed his study of butter. His conclusion: Too little butter is bad, too much is bad but the right amount is perfect,"

My daughter's got a study going with salt, as we speak. I'll let you know when she publishes.

Edited by me: That GQ's a fast little typist. Those o-lifts are really paying off in the speed dept!

But remember one of the nice things in life: if you are staving off diabetes a little is good, just the right amount is fine, and more is even better:p
