You aren't the Jules who runs Coach Staley's life and gives away cool stuff are you? If so, I bought Muscle Logic and the EDT for Arms Book and the folks will tell you I've had a bad few months and could use some love! (If there was a begging icon, it would be here!)

All JP needs to do is fill-out a CEU application with the NSCA listing the # of hours, speakers, topics etc. and they will certainly grant CEU's for all the contact hours.

OK JP
Living in Oklahoma, a trip to LR sounds great to me, but I wouldn't mind going to Phoenix again. Anyhow, I am down just let me know when.

Follow up to JP
Just so JP can remember our phone conversation from yesterday , I would love to see John Berardi as a speaker this year. While we all have different fitness goals and different needs for workouts, everyone is still concerned with the diet and nutrition portion of the equation. JB is articulate, approachable, and ever friendly and I really enjoyed the brief time we got to talk to him 2 summits ago.
For the same reasons as above, I would also love to see Bill Hartman speak again. Is there an expert who takes more time to explain complex concepts to the uneducated masses, and does so successfully? I am still using his techniques now, seven months later, and still reaping the benefits.
Another on my short list is a performance specialist like Dos (or maybe Craig). In addiition to his S&C expertise, it would be fun to hear Dos' vegan-take on the wisdom JB imparts on us.
My 2¢, fwiw JP.

Too many to list, but tops on my list would be Alwyn Cosgrove. There are so many guys doing the NROL and cursing his name that he just has to be there. And, since he was the scheduled speaker last year, before his hospitalization, it would be great to finally get to hear him speak.

JB was invited here.
He went to the 2005 Summit on his own, not as a speaker. Just to attend.

Either (or both) Cosgrove and Ballantyne would be great in my books. Wouldn't mind hearing Berardi too since I missed Summit 05.

If you expand the format we could have multiple speakers covering a wider range of topics. Speaking fees may make that cost prohibitive.

Jeez, I was just thinking about the last summit, and I think I was the third oldest person there besides Mahler and Chris Correia (including all the speakers)! Hartman is a few months younger, JP and Roland a few years, and everyone else more than that. ODB is a bit older than me, but he wasn't an official summit seminar participant. So.... shit! Fitness is dominated by the young? In which case, I change my recommendations: I want Ian King, Jack Lalane, and anyone older than me to the next speakers! I want sessions on keeping your flexibility, icing down your aching knees, and a session titled 'Ben-Gay - the miracle rub'.

I was 49 at the summit but I'm frequently mistaken for my 21 year old son.

I'm not that much younger than you Kaiser... I'll be a couple weeks shy of 39 by this year's summit.
Okay, some new thoughts to add... After having driven around Phoenix and inquiring with some hotels, I have decided NOT to do it in Phoenix this year. I'm back in LR. I just can't beat the hotel rates here, and the proximity to entertainment and the airport is really impossible to beat. You can't go anywhere in Phoenix without an hour drive in both directions. The hotels in trendy entertainment districts are around the $200 per night range, which would really rule the summit out for a lot of folks. The ones that are affordable are just not desireable to me.
I may still shift around the dates. I am hopeful for that last weekend of March, but I am going to arrange it around the schedules of the trainers that I really really want to make it.
Some names of people who I am hoping for (some committed, some not)
Alwyn Cosgrove, Chad Waterbury, Dos Remedios, David Schmit (sp?), Eric Cressy, Bill Hartman, John Berardi, Charles Staley, and Zig Zeigler. I think I'll add Josh Henkins to that wish list too. Now that is a line-up that should draw a decent crowd, don't you think?
I would like to not increase my price much... Maybe $199 (don't hold me to that, I haven't run the numbers yet). I would like to have a minimun of 100 people this year, but will shoot for twice that. And whatever the regular prices of these presenters' products are, you can expect some MAJOR discounts for Summit attende | |
