okay, i'm sure i'll get some heat for asking this question, but, it just really started bothering me yesterday while doing deadlifts.

on my way up from the deadlift, let's just say when i near the top of the lift, Frank and the beans end up doing a pull up on the bar. causes me to kind of have to push the bar away from my body in order to avoid this.

anyone found a good way around this? and no, i'm not taping them down with duct tape.....

No, at Men's Health the appropriate question would be: "hey guyz...iz it nrmal that i masterbate 6 times a day by massaging myself with a barbell while pretending to deadlift???? thanx!"

But seriously, it's happened to me too. Tighter briefs/boxer briefs are the solution.

My arms are long enough to avoid it with dead lifts, but when doing shrugs I get in the same situation as you. Basically tight underwear is about the only solution, which sucks if you're someone who is used to just wearing free fitting boxers all the time.

Seriously, wearing briefs or a strap should solve the problem. You just have to get stuff tucked up together and back out of the way.

I don't wear a cup for general class training, but I always wear briefs. I can't see how students train in boxers under their uniforms.

Tried once. Not something I'm gonna be repeating any time soon.

Damn, now I feel like there's something wrong with me because it's NOT a problem for me...

Maybe I should take my concern to MH!

Wingsfan

I came across an atricle that deals with your issue. I think you have been concetrating too much on this exercise.

http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/200.../index_np.html

You will need to "watch" a comercial to read it for free, but I think it addresses your situation. You should stop this "extra" training and stick to a more conventional routine.

Enjoy

Peter
