Default Whooped by a six year old

Six-year old does 10,000 pushups in 4 hours!

Quote:
Lu Di, 6, does pushups as other young kungfu students watch at a kungfu school in Central China's Henan Province July 26, 2006. According to school president Shi Yongdi, Lu did 10,000 pushups in three hours and twenty minutes four days ago. Since he shows so much promise, Shi says the school will waive his tuition for ten years. [Xinhua]

I was night manager in a hotel the Shaolin Monks stayed at when they were doing one of their touring shows - my enduring memory is the the tiny kids (maybe even younger than 6) doing countless pressups on two fingers at about 5am in the lounge. The older ones did handstand ones.

Damned impressive.

I'm sure this kid can do an extraordinary number of push-ups, I'm not buyin' this. Three hours and twenty minutes is 200 minutes or 12,000 seconds. I'm supposed to believe this kid sustained a pace of 1.2 seconds per push-up, 6/10s of a second each for the eccentric and concentric portion for three hours and twenty minutes? Nuh uh. Not full ROM, maybe not even half ones.

Agreed, spank. Sounds very suspicious.

Heck, my son could do that if I told him he didn't have to go to bed until he stopped.

What's the saying "Remember, somewhere in China, a girl is warming up with your 1RM." or something like that?

I wonder if China is starting to report 'news' like N. Korea has in the past to raise national pride.

Agreed, that's exactly what I was thinking. Propaganda in my opinion.
