Deadlifts... ya gotta love 'em! But do your shins?
Here's mine:
Okay, they're not that bad and a lot doesn't show because of the flash. I was walking around the gym today with blood running down my legs. It was kind of cool, in a ridiculous macho kind of way.
Still, this has to be the best lift there is, right?

You could still get them from RDLs. I do, but I get them bad from regular deads.

You should be trying to keep them close to your shins. Sometimes people just have them a little too close .

I put band-aids over my worse cuts and then put on sweat pants. This helped. My Texas Power Bar is very bad because it has such deep knurling.

You guys just love comparing war wounds. lol
I do deads religiously and finished with 325 yesterday. I have yet to scrape my shins. That is another of those lifting myths that you "have" to drag the bar up your legs. Some prefer to do them that way, but you can do a dead with good form and keep the bar slightly away from the leg.
Brad, I think you just wanted to show your gams.

I'll second Mahler's comment. The bar is certainly close to my shins; if I have on sweats, I brush the material but usually not the shin.
Actually, if I have on shorts, I might occassionally brush the leg hair; I prefer brushing it that way than at home with a hair brush.

You know...a little hair gel on those legs prior to the deads might make the bar slide without a scrape.
And you'd have a mighty nice shin comb over too.

... or my bad form! It doesn't usually happen but, for some reason, it was happening every time that day!
