JP,
You have posted in the past about your shoulder struggles. I am recovering (slowly) from an impingement, and I am always trying to learn what others have done to regain healthy shoulders. Did you stress stretching or focus on rehab exercises, or both? Thanks.

Hmmm...this has been going on for some time. Refresh my memory. Have you had an MRI? How much have you improved since therapy? Is it time for an ortho consult (not to be negative here)?

I'm worried about ya Kinney. I remember that we were both posting about our shoulder impingement problems at the same time. My shoulder feels great now... Thanks Bill!!!

Sorry to keep beating a dead horse with this topic here. I wish I didn't have to keep bringing it up, and I appreciate your patience.

I have had an MRI (it showed a mild impingement in right shoulder), I have had 2 rounds of physical therapy, and I have seen an ortho. The ortho has a good reputation in North Jersey. He has prescribed Mobic (Anti Inflamatory) that has helped some. He seems to be a little frustrated with the lack of progress as well. I am very frustrated with my progress. I seem to have a good week, then a bad one. This has been going on for a year. I called a couple of ART practioners in the area yesterday, because I have got to find a way to make this better.

I guess I will just stick with the rehab exercises and the anti inflamatories for the time being, because I hear that surgery is no guarantee either. Thanks for the support.

Kevin,

i'm in a similar boat with my shoulder, somedays it feels pretty good, others its sore. i did 2 months of rehab with little improvement. I had an MRI last month and it revealed a possible recessed labrum. the rest of the shoulder looked good, so that's the only thing he could attribute to the the inability to do any pushing movement without pain. I'm having surgery next month. even though there is no guarentee it'll work, prospect of pain relief and normal shoulder function is worth it to me.

good luck with your situation.

Two unconventional things you might want to try: acupuncture and rolfing.
