Me personally like getting advice and training and/or diet tips from guys. Boyfriend or not its great. My last bf taught me how to bench press and a few other things, he also helped me out with diet stuff as well. I never thought much about how I was eating before (too little and not enough times in the day) so I think its awesome!

Me too Jenn. 'Tis why I started coming here in the first place I've always asked my guy friends for workout advice.

there's a subtle difference in a female voicing her wishes and asking for advice. if you can't spot it you're screwed (or you won't be for a while).

it's great that people can feel good about asking a loved one for help but that does take some guts.

I've always been wary of asking a guy's advice - and only asking a guy since he's, you know, a guy. So instead, I look for knowledgable people - doesn't matter if it's a guy or a woman.

One of the most knowledgable strength athletes I've ever, ever have had the opportunity to train with was in fact, a woman (Julie Havelka). Another knowledgeable woman would be Jalaine who goes by the moniker of "JJ" on some of these boards.

The only guy I would trust for any type of advice would be my boyfriend, Ko. And that's only cuz we train together and I know he ain't dumb. Heh.
