Default Tabata Method for intervals?

I have been reading a bit about tabata and wondered if it could be incorporated into TT training? I haven't started TT yet (will begin Monday).

I have tried tabata just on the treadmill. I do a five minute warmup then do about 6 intervals which are 20 secs hard by 10 secs rest, then follow with a 5 mintue cooldown. Would this be suitable?

And if i do my intervals after TT, on the TT 'off' days should i do intervals again or 30 minutes of some other exercise?

"off" days are a good chance to get outdoors and do something that you enjoy out of the gym.

Sport or general leisure is what i believe to be prescribed.

Is there a particular reason you want to use tabata method over craigs programs?

Each day of intervals craig has different work/ rest times so i'd be inclined to stick them as they provide more "turbulence" if you aren't doing the same thing each time.

Nothing special about the Tabata method. If you want to use it, go ahead.

I don't have the manual yet...it's a matter of having enough money at the moment..by the way is the cost of the manual in US dollars? (I'm from Australia.

I just thought I'd ask about it. I like running hard for short periods then having even shorter periods of rest...I just like how it feels. However obviously I will change it every now and then anyway.
