From the training reports I've heard, Bolton should be good for 1,000 in November at Lake George.

Doesn't look like Gary Frank will ever do it. I think that Paul Childress could do it, as he's already gotten 2,662 and probably has 80-100 pounds left in his squat. At Seniors, he was tinkering with a new bench shirt quite a bit and chatting it over with Ryan Kennelly and Kara Bohigian, so that could be some untapped potential as well. Not really sure where his deadlift stands.
He's got a great training crew and is a really bright guy, so that would be my bet. I'm sure Donnie could make a run at it, too.

Bolton definitely looked like he had some left in the gas tank on that 971. Dear God.
Nonetheless, Magnusson is the coolest guy to watch. Maybe I should try his pre-set technique?

That would be awesome! Go into a gym you've never been to before and pull that stunt! Ammonia and all!
As it is, I'm deadlifting at Excel these days, and I believe concentration curls are grounds for immediate expulsion...!

Awesome videos. My favorite part is Magnusson's leap. It never ceases to amaze me the how high the power and oly lifters can get.

If they wanted to, they could do a cutting cycle and look absolutely insane. The bodyfat actually serves them well at the elite level, though. Everybody sacrifices something to be the best... these guys have to sacrifice some aesthetics (among other things). Marathoners sacrifice muscle and joint health. Aztecs sacrificed virgins. David Hasselhoff sacrificed his soul. You just gotta figure out what price you're willing to pay.

Don't know if we can actually make the statement that powerlifters can jump.....many of them can barely walk (especially the SHW's).
