Update on O Lifting Progress
Tonite I wound my snatch out. missed 65 twice coach made some corrections, then I nailed it. Made 67.5 easy. Made 72 easy. Missed 74, stopped took on back at 60.
Yesterday. Cleaned a PR of 100. Then jerked out of the rack 90 for an easy double. Went 95/2 got first one pressed out on the second one.
Never thought a month ago I would be where I am now. With a good showing at my competion. Going (72,100) puts me 14 kilos from qualifying for the American Open. And I basically started training in June. So with 3 months training.

Great work, you will be there very soon. You are right around my best lifts, but I am about one and a half of you, and my qualifying total would need to be 260 or 265 depending on what weight I could get.

Excellent Ryan. Good coaching makes all the difference.

Good coaching... I have a regional level coach. Who auctually isn't here now he's at U17 Pan Americans as team leader. I also have a club level coach where I workout. So basically I owe a lot to them and also to never missing a workout.

Once you get the form under control a lot of especially snatch and the jerk come down to not being a pussy. Cause you have to commit to get under the weight.

yeah i think my form is the biggest problem, i rarly miss workouts. Though i pretty much do the power versiones of the lifts and include a squat, since i dont compete.

The power lifts are important until you get a descent pull.
