Default Hartman - Workout Question

I recently started Bill Hartman's workout entitled "Simplify Your Lifting Plan, Supersize Your Strength". After the warmup phase is complete, do you keep performing reps until technial failure? Even if the number of reps is higher than 6 or 12?

Second Questions- Abs

I am thinking of replacing Reverse Crunches with V-Ups. I feel V-Ups hit the entire abdominal region better.

How do you add weight when doing Side Bridges? How do you adhere to workout regime for Side Bridges?

Thanks for the input Bill.

if the number is higher than 6 or 12, you adjust the weight. Then do sets until technical failure. So if you get 14 reps, and you're on a 12 rep day, you increase the weight slightly--you'll likely get 12 reps--and then repeat until you drop-off.

For side bridges, just increase the length of time you spend in a static contraction. Time it for your first set at 100% effort, then do as many sets as you can for that 6% less time as many times as you can until you hit your first form dropoff.
