Nike+ iPod
This this kicks ass. Have any of you tried it yet? Worth every penny. Just got back from 2 miles (8 intervals with warmup and cooldown). Very cool device.
I am going to have a review by mid-week.

More info please!
Is it still 29.99?
Does anyone else make a shoe with the cutout?
Could you feel it under your footbed when running?
Does it take up memory on the iPod?
Is it waterproof?
Thanks!

I'm looking forward to it, Kevin! Did you buy the specific Nikes, or did you just stick it in the running shoes that you already had?

I've wondered if you need the special shoes also. Does it only work with the nano? I'm old school with the mini.

Only works with the nano. Here's how one guy used it with non-Nike+ shoes:

Or, you could try a shoe wallet.

not gps
"The sensor uses a sensitive accelerometer to measure your activity, then wirelessly transfers this data to the receiver that's plugged into the dock connector on your iPod nano."

I'm the same Michael, it really is a pain to keep finding armbands. When you ask for "mini" armbands the salespeople look at you like your anicent

I'd be curious to see how acurate this thing is.

if it's simular to their other pedometer it should be pretty darn close. the marketing says 97% accuracy. mine (triax elite) gives the same readings for distance over and over. So if it's off, it's off consistantly the same amount (and you can tweak the settings if you want) so no biggie. the only trick is if you change shoes it dorks it up. with this the pod should rest exactly the same per (assigned) shoe so that shouldn't be an issue.

Any shoes should work, you just need to adjust the footbed for the battery unit.
