Default Waterbury's New Book

I have heard that Waterbury is coming out with a book. Has it already come out? If not, has he set a release date?

Thanks -

HM

Chad Waterbury himself posted this on t-nation:

It's not an e-book, it's a full-fledged, all encompassing training book packed with color pics and glossy pages (and a damn cool cover).

Oct 1 on T-nation.

yep, it seems that many have been asking this in his locker and October 1st it is. I'm actually pretty pumped about this as I really like Waterbury's stuff.

I will be buying a copy for sure. I really like waterburys research with the CNS. I hope he has some of that in there too.

This is going to be a great book. I'm loving his high frequency training.

I'm finishing my final proofreading of the book right now. It's hard to believe Chad put this whole thing together himself. It looks and reads like a book from a mainstream publishing house.

The depth of information is astounding, and the 12-week Total Strength Program rocks. The program started as the workout component of a strength book I was going to write, but we decided to scrap that idea and have him write his own book, with me as editor and that program as its final chapter.

I really think this book is something special. You can't put this sort of intermediate-advanced information into the type of books I write, so it's really cool to be part of an experiment in DIY publishing. If it works, I could see a lot more where this came from.

I am really, really looking forward to that 12-week total strength program. Really.

Yes im interested in seeing it too. I had good success with his strength focused mesocycle and id like to see what kind of plan it is. I would pre-order this book if I could.

I'll be getting a copy for sure. Uh that is if I can get it somewhere other than T-nation.

How about a little "preview" there Lou????? Hmmmm...???

No matter where it sells, you can rest assured that I will have it in my fitness products catelogue, so if you want to boost his sales and simultaneously help out this site, purchase it from this site once it is released.

Will do, Jean-Paul.

Lou- does Waterbury have more than one program in his book? Or just that 12 week strength program?

The 12-week program is really three 12-week programs, one each emphasizing bench press, squat, and deadlift. The one I did was the bench press program, and in the foreword to the book I describe the results I got.

I later tried the squat program, which my knees weren't ready for. (I could probably do it now, but it was too much for me a year ago. I should've done the deadlift program instead.)

You can also mix and match lifts on the program, emphasizing two or even three during the same 12-week period.

He also has a chapter in which all his most popular T-nation programs appear in chart form, and he has a brief section on how to periodize some of them for various goals.

I'd go into more detail, but I'm finishing some of the technical proofreading work right now, and I don't want to mix up the pages I've already gone over.

When I have a copy off the press in a few weeks, I'll post more about what's in the book. It's great stuff.

This is a book I'm definitely looking to purchase, Chad's routines have given me great results in the past.

I thought I heard it was only going to be sold on T-Nation when released? Didn't he also say that on one of the Fitcasts?
