I'm using 3RM but I hit a new one of 240/3 at a body weight of 143(142 3/4 actually). Oly style squats. I need to work on my power lifting squats. I bet that I could get 300+ now.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, and i know it will be a bit of a pain to do it, but how about adding the coefficient thing, like in the deadlift thread?

as for my squat... I'm too scared to test a 1rm haha

does your squat rack have safety bars? If you fail you just go a bit lower till you touch the bars and the bars hold the barbell.

Actually I squat at home, with something like this(bench flat, removed leg extension/curl attachment):

I raise the supports to about shoulder level, then squat under it and walk backwards with the bench between my legs and squat in open space, if i can't squat it up once I'm in the bottom position, i die(drop the bar and make big marks on wooden floor).

I would have to get to a gym to do this think.
I squat ATG(can't get any lower at the bottom), so to use safety bars i would have to shorten the ROM right?

Not necessarily, just set the safety bars lower. I use that same kind of set up to squat too. So, I'm never too keen to test out my squat max, which is why I haven't in over a year. When I get into the school weight room over the summer/next year, I'll be more comfortable pushing the weights, but for now 3RM and 5RM only.

I really have no need to test the 1RM, i just want to know how much weight i can squat haha.
In this stage of my training the lowest i do is 6 rep sets anyway.
