I have a really long bar with a small room I cant aford a smaller bar right now so im stuck.

I can do the bench press but not barbell rows, deadlifts, maybe squats im not sure. I only have 2 10lbs dumbells so replacing exercises with dumbels wont work. I know of the the cuban press and tricep extension what else can i do.

Ohh I can also do military press.

so would benchpress, military press, cubanpress, and tricep extensions work for arms.

I can do lunges and calflifts for legs and maybe squats.

Is it alright if i dont do deadlifts?

So help me out on any exercises im missing and could probably do

do you have measurements for your room? i also have a very small room-about 8.5" x 10" but unless i know how small your room is to get a general idea, i couldn't really think of anything.

Mines about the same size but I have a bunch of stuff taking up space like my huge computer desk, queen size bed and entertainment center.

The actual space I have to work out in is about 5x6ft. I can do just about any exercise that has the bar never touching the ground like bp and mp.

Stuff like dl and bb rows i have to set the bar down and a 7`2"Bar wont lay straight.

can you try to do them (deads rows) with the bar on an angle? just move the bench outta the way. if my math is right, across the 5 x 6 space, it's about 7' 9". and are you sure the bar is 7' 2"? i've only heard of 5, 6, and 7 foot bars. anyway, i don't ever start my rows from the floor. do you have a bench with uprights. i just keep my bench at the height i use to bench, load up the bar and start from there.

also, anythin you can move outta the way or rearrange to give you more room.

Rather than regular bent-over BB rows, maybe clear out a corner, stuff a towel there, and do T-bar rows, maybe even using the ends of another towel as the grips.

Maybe I am having a visualization problem here....

Why exactly can you do bench press and not rows?
Is the bench physically in the way for the rows, giving you no where to stand where the barbell can move?

Og.

Wouldn't one possibility be to straddle the bench when doing your bentover rows?

The range of motion may not be perfect (depending on your height & wingspan), but I'd rather do something good than not do it at all.

The reason I can do bench press is because when the bar is in the air It cant hit anything on the ground.

the floor space is around 5x6ft but the space in the air is around 5x10ft. Sorry If I cant create a visual for you.

Also I can do BB rows thx to the suggestion of Kevin. I guess I might be able to do deads to, Its just very crowded and time consuming to find the right place to do the exercise.

I guess Im left with another question now.

Is it okay to take like a 1-2 minute break between every exercise I do becasue I cant Set up a new exercise in like 20 seconds. My room is to crowded.

i dont know what kind of routine you're doing, but with me, i rest 1-2 minutes per set. however, i'm doing high weight, low rep, so more rest is better for this. i see no problem with takin a minute or 2 to set up the next exercise. i'm not even that crowded and it still takes me about a minute or 2 to switch from exercise to exercise. from squat to bench, for example, i have to unload all the weight off the bar, adjust the uprights, put the bar on the uprights and load all the plates. honestly, i don't see that being a problem unless you're doing circuit training, then just do it as fast as you can.

i have about 5x9 and i manage. Your gonna have to get some ground cleareance, at least enough to lay the bar down for deads and such. I'd also invest in some dumbells and plates for these since you cant do most excercise with your barbell.also, a ez bar would be a good investment.
