Is EDT reasonable to do in a crowded gym?
After much help from everyone, I have decided to look back into the NROL book and find some more workouts that I can do. I also decided to trade my MMP book for Muscle Logic and will one day try out EDT.
I'm curious to know for those who have tried it, if EDT can be done in a fairly crowded gym.
My gym usually isnt too bad, but I would like to be able to do the workout as its laid out and not wait around 5 minutes because someone took my spot.
Can anyone share their experiences?

From what I remember, you just want to do antagonistic supersets, right?
I pair up two db exercises or a bb and a db exercise and just take the dbs with me to the bb bench. Figure out a way to do both exercises in one place, if possible.

yeah I don't think EDT would be great for places that are super-packed. but as LD said, you can pair antagonists and just hog a bench for 15 minutes and then move to your next PR zone.
I got bored with BoM so my plan is to do some random training for a few weeks; just to shore up some weak areas and then hit up EDT. I'm pretty excited to get on with it; expect a log for sure.

That is the prime reason I hit the gym at 5:00 AM when it opens. I hate "high tide" - I workout at Ballys so 5:00 PM brings the mob looking for dates complete with the guys doing bicep curls in the squat rack.
You can superset at 5:00 AM because those people are there to workout & get out. Except on some Mondays, where people are trying to atone for their weekend sins...

It depends on what your excersises are.
Squats\Pullups...no problem
Bicept Curl\Skull Crushers...no problem
Bench press\Freeweight Row...normally no problem
ect...ect...ect
the thing is if you're going to be working on something that, that area is used for no one will care. especially when you say "I will be done in 6min 23sec". It's not like you're bogarting something for an hour.
just be considerate. if you're wandering around the gym and getting pissed off that someone is on a piece of equipment you were no where around...bad juju. if you're consiously picking excersises that can be done in one area and am working out continuisly during that time...no biggie.

gobbla is dead on as is LD.
If you do it with DBs you should be good. But if your antagonists are bench press and lat pulldown then you are probably not going to have much luck doing them in a crowded gym.
Pick your excercises in consideration of this and you should be golden.

The other guys who've chimed in basically have it right: the best approach is to use a barbell or dumbbells as at least one of your exercises, and then you can park in one spot for the entire PR Zone. Personally, I like to set up a perimeter with police tape also, but that's just me.

LOL. Police tape...haha. Thanks for personally answering my questions Charles. I'm very excited and optimistic about starting your program. I'm hoping it works well for me.

I go to the gym at 5AM and I have done modified routines from NROL and I just picked up Muscle Logic and I will be trying out some of those routines as well. What I have found is what the others have said it doesn't seem to be a problem when you are using the free weights but around the assisted dip/pull up machine it gets a little busy. I just let everyone know that they should feel free to work in just put the pin back where you found it.

you might consider doing negatives instead of the assisted machine...or position a bench\chair to allow you to assist yourself if\when necissary.

We generally have about 6 to 10 folks working out in the free weights and machine area. With floaters working in from the cardio equipment doing a few sets here and there. It is a pretty big gym so like I said other than the assisted pull up/dip station it is not to difficult to use free weights plus a machine station if needed.
