Question

My chest routine includes either incline or flat bench flys.

In the range of motion I use, I can almost touch the floor with the dumbbells before bringing them back up. I use 20's to be able to keep my form as well as get this full motion.

Now, is this right, or should I increase the weight and limit my range of motion to about the shoulders?

When you say "touch the floor", do you mean that you are on a bench and your arms are passing the plain of your body???

I am also confused by this question. Are your elbows bent? And if so, where are they in relation to the surface of the bench? Are you lying flat on the bench? And is the bench flat?

Maybe touching the floor is a little extreme.

Mainly on an incline bench, elbows slightly bent, almost like your strethching in the morning. I can break the plain that is level with my shoulders. Is this amount ok? Am I explaining myself correctly?

If I am reading you correctly, I would say that you are going too far. Past the plane of your shoulders you are not benefitting your chest anyway.
